Since 2002 PDS has been committed to providing the highest quality construction drawings and assisting our customers with achieving successful results with their projects. Our philosophy is simple; do our best, all of the time, no exceptions. All of our drawings are proudly produced domestically here in the United States. We specialize in the technically difficult projects but are just as comfortable and happy doing the simple box building that is the bread and butter of some of our customers.
Steel Detailing
We are a full service detailing company. We believe a 99.9% accuracy rate is not good enough. When thousands of details and tens of thousands of dimensions are generated on a single project, a 0.1% error rate could be costly for a fabrication company. We understand a single mistake in the wrong place can come with a high price, holding up field crews, costing valuble crane and shop time, choking off the project from moving forward. We seek out the fabricators that appreciate accurate , clean, complete and easy to read fabrication and erection drawings. We look forward to receiving zero shop calls and zero field calls on all of the projects we detail. We know that no news is good news when it comes to the production and erection process. We are here to make you and your company look good and help your operation run smooth and steady.

CAD Management
Our roots go back to the 1980's when Computer Aided Drafting was a relatively new concept to small bussiness. With the invention of the desktop computer and mini mainframes, CAD became an affordable and viable option for many architectural, engineering and steel detailing firms. The owner of Practical Drafting Solutions, Eric Myers, was working for companies on the forefront of developing CAD programs and intigrating computing with steel fabrication automation. Today, we offer management, consulting and programming services that can assist your company with overcomming the challenging obstacles that come with todays state of the art CAD systems.
